It took some time to think of how my page should look like. I wanted something clean. My last homepage had black background and the previous ones had white background. As usual, I decided to stick to the title "My Stormy Heart" as my previous ones. Why? Well, I always felt my heart is filled with emotions (we all do) and well, why not, name a website where I can put on my rants and raves :P Then, I wanted to portray all those emotions using a flash animation and ta-daaa! what you see is what you get. Next came the menu. I didn't quite know how to connect the menu and the title image and after some designs, just doodle one and voila! (Anderson said it didn't look too bad and it did have sort of a flow to it from the title) there it stayed, well, after some cleaning up. At first my 'HOME' link was supposed to be on the left menu but I felt that the space between the tails of the two 'y's were sort of glaring so I thought, hey, why not shift it there and well, a home is kind of a nest and after some tries, borrowing some nest images from here and there, I managed to get one just right. Somehow, I wanted a signpost on my page (I had thought earlier that using a signpost as my menu would have been great but then Anderson said how about having it swing around when clicked, nah, didn't work out that way though) and I had found a cute looking signpost and a bit of changes here and there, it was done! At first the signpost was not supposed to be there and actually it was there ... well, that is another story ... I had a stone there but Anderson said it looked like well, poo and suggested change colour to grey so I did try but then it looked like a submerged turtle. I then got rid of it and there we have now a signpost! The other images took some doing because I wanted them to be a part of the whole brown and outdoor look and well, for the moment, they look just find to me. I had done up all the pages as normal pages until my 'wonderful' husband
asked why I didn't do the others as frames. Sigh ... I had done a previous
homepage in frames before so had quite forgotten how it was done. It was
back to square 1 and some hours later, they were done. Phew! |
