Kasuga Sushi

Yesterday (i.e. Monday, 4th September 2006), we went out with Anderson's aunt and family for breakfast to sort of celebrate our recent marriage. Anderson had made his choice, Kasuga Sushi after reading good reviews about its authentic Japanese sushi online over dim sum.

Since it opens at 11:30 am and there is no private parking, Anderson decided to leave at 11:10 am. We got there by 11:20 am as it was quite near we lived and even though it was a public holiday, the roads were quite empty.

It was nice and cosy inside. There were only two people that we saw, the chef and the waitress, who were attentive and friendly. There was Japanese music playing in the background and this seem to add to the atmosphere. The food was good and the sashimi salmon and spicy tuna were very very nice. Their inhouse special rolls with mango was a very interesting mix too.

To top it off, we had green tea ice-cream which came in a 3" by 3" slab. My aunt who declined at first, found herself sharing a portion with her daughter while Anderson and I shared one.

Pricewise, I would say it was affordable and well worth the money spent so if you are a Japanese food nut and want good Japanese food, just find your way down there and treat yourself.
