1st Mac.2008 Well, the romantic side of me won and looking back that I had an article named Looking for Mr Right, I typed in Regarding Mr Right and this was what popped up: Being the helpful, unselfish CLMC reader I am, I looked in the SF phonebook for you. There is no Mr. Right. There is a Frank Righini, and there is a Carl Rigler, but no one by the name of Right. There is a Michael Carissimo (oooh!) and a David Carlarco, but no Mr. Car-job-license-gradute-collegeeducated-mature-attractive. Moreover (and truly I hate to dissappoint you this way) though there is Stewart Gooderman, a Chris Goodfellow, and a Matthew Goodheart, a Doug Goodkin, a David Goodnecht, and a Victor Goodkoff, and lots and lots of "Goodman"s, there is no Mr (or Mrs) Good Enough. But that's just San Francisco. Maybe there's someone in the greater bay area, or maybe he's unlisted. Maybe one of these people above would be close enough for you. You might call them and pretend to be someone else ("hi, I'm selling raffle tickets", etc). I might fit your needs. However, you won't "meet" me on the internet. You might see me in a dance club or bar, but of course in that setting you wouldn't assume me to be "Mr. Right." That's kind of how it goes. I was walking around SFMOMA the other day and I almost got up the nerve to introduce myself to a woman I saw there. I was momentarily distracted by a Rauchenburg painting and then she was gone. That's also kind of how it goes. Well, what do you think? It does strengthen the fact however that there
is no Mr Right, it is just that you would need to get to know someone
to find out if he is right for you. |
